Jacqueline Pearce writes contemporary and historical fiction for children and teens, as well as poetry, short fiction and short non-fiction. Her published works include Weeds and Other Stories (Thistledown 2003), and most recently, Siege (Orca 2014), a novel for ages 10-14, and two short non-fiction stories in Chicken Soup for the Soul: the Dog Did What? (Chicken Soup for the Soul Publications, 2014). Her haiku have been featured in a variety of publications, including Frogpond, The Heron’s Nest, Haiku Canada Review, and Daily Haiku. Jacquie grew up on Vancouver Island and has degrees in English Literature and Environmental Studies.
